What gets deleted

What to keep in mind.

What is removed?

Your and your dependents’ live health records (medications, vitals, documents, voice notes, mood check-ins, and everything else) are permanently removed from our active systems, your subscription is cancelled, and we send you a confirmation by email once it is done.

You have 30 days to change your mind.

Within that window you can recover your account and your family’s health data. After 30 days your account and those records are permanently erased and cannot be brought back. Recovering does not restore a cancelled subscription.

By law we keep a minimal, health-information-free record.

Health-records law requires us to keep a small audit trail that certain events happened. It contains no clinical health information. We keep it for a legally required period (at least the HIPAA floor of about six years), then destroy or anonymize it.

Backups age out within 28 days.

For disaster-recovery reasons, deleted information can stay in our encrypted backups for up to 28 days before those backups age out. We do not restore it except to recover from a disaster.

Subscriptions bought through Apple or Google.

Deleting your account does not automatically refund a paid subscription, and a subscription bought through the App Store or Google Play must be cancelled in your Apple or Google account.
